Easter Celebration Tea 25th March,2010

Residents and friends enjoyed such a lovely tea in the garden at

the Homes this morning.

The weather was absolutely glorious and guests mingled and shopped
and then sat down to a delicious tea .
Everything was beautifully arranged, from the pretty flowers on the tables
to the table groaning with tasty treats.

The crafters had been hard at work and were rewarded when shoppers queued up for their wares. About R2000.00 overall was raised towards the car fund.

Some of the ladies had made such an effort in creating their easter bonnets that the judge was hard pressed to find a winner. Joy Lovell Shippy won the prize with her lovely hydrangea
creation.

New website

12th March,2010

We have a new website!

Have a look at http://www.zululandhomeseshowe.co.za/ . We would like to hear any comments and suggestions.

The Homes were visited recently by Baillie and his handler Vivien from Paws for People

Dogs are very sensitive to human needs and this lovely animal has been specially trained to provide therapy for people in need. Paul says he was absolutely marvellous with the residents especially those with mental and physical impairement. He seemed to sense their need and they responded so well to him. Happily Baillie will be visiting the Homes regularly in future

If you would like to find out more about this organization go to http://www.pawsforpeople.co.za/

Easter Celebration 25th March, 2010

Tickets are available at R15.00 each and the price includes refreshments.

The pretty easter egg tickets were specially made for the occasion in a craft session at the Homes.

On offer will be all sorts of home crafted items for Easter and there will be a prize for the best Easter Bonnet!

The Knick Knack Shop will be open with plenty of bargains for all.

On a final note I do wish more people would volunteer to hold craft sessions at the Homes. The residents are so appreciative and eager to learn new things and the mornings are fun and very rewarding.
